Telescopic Handler Operator Training

Aim of Teleporter Course in Ireland:
To provide experienced plant operators recognition by allowing them to demonstrate their familiarity and understanding of the required skills, knowledge and attitude to operate the machine safely and to comply with statutory requirements; and in so doing gaining nationally recognised certification.

Course Content:

Introduction
Construction Site Safety Awareness
Health and Safety Regulation
Daily Inspection
Hydraulic Systems
Operating Practices
The effect of load, size, weight, gradients and ground conditions upon the machines stability
The loading, storage and transportation of materials
Corrective Training
Theory Test
Practical Test

Course Duration:
1 Day

Course Assessment:
Theory and Practical Examination

Certification:
On successful completion candidates will be awarded a QQI level 5 Certificate and a Solas CSCS Experienced Plant Operators Card, valid for 5 years

Telescopic Handler Course Prerequisites

All potential Telescopic Handler Assessment candidates must meet the following requirements:

Be 18 years or old
Hold a valid SafePass (or equivent CSR card with Health & Safety Training)
Have 6 months experience on the plant item
Complete the Telescopic Handler Candidates Pack and review the Revision Material Safe Operation of Telescopic Handler
Bring One Passport Photographs
PPS Number or National Insurance Number
Bring PPE(personal protective equipment), i.e. Hard Hat, High Vis Vest, Steel Toe Capped Boots, Gloves
